Hello and Welcome to Our Island Roots
We are the Island Princess and the Nubian Angel
We would like to share a little of our Island Roots with you. The Princess is from Atlanta, Ga and is one half Haitian on my father's side. I have never been to Haiti but follow my roots closely and am very proud of them. My father passed away in 1997 but my family stays in close and constant contact with our relatives from Haiti. We planned on visiting Haiti before my father passed and still plan on going one day. I hope you enjoy this collaboration of the Island Princess and the Nubian Angel...We have been friends for over a year now and have decided to finally share some of our Haitian roots by making this site.
The Nubian Angel is from Haiti, born and raised there for 17 and a half years. He lives in North Miami, Fl now and works in my former home town of Ft Lauderdale, Fl. We are both writers and the Angel also writes in French and Creole and will share some of these wonderful poems on the site. We plan on showing you the beautiful Haitian countryside and the Angel can give you first hand his knowledge of our Haitian culture and shed some light into the mysteries of Haiti. So sit back and enjoy your trip into Our Island Roots.....

HAITI. We are proud HAITIANS, and forevermore, no matter where we may be, our hearts will always be where home is.
